November Rain

The earth is wet, the moss on the trees alive and vibrant once again, the creeks flowing and our two recent “atmospheric river” rainfalls are the talk of the town. You can feel the sweet vibe in the air, conversing with smiling neighbors …after a tragic 212 days without rain amidst a major drought.

The trails are glistening…at Samuel P. Taylor, a spritely walk along Pioneer Tree Trail leads to it’s vast cathedral of redwoods, The almost overflowing lake at Bon Tempe reservoir up in Sky Oaks, and of course the effervescent waterfalls at the end of Cascade Canyon and Cataract Falls can’t help but bring us Marinites delight.

They say that we might not get another significant rainfall this winter but who knows…so go out and enjoy it now while it’s here… ❤

Marin Nomad

As a photographer, writer, psychotherapist and nature lover, I am passionate about living in Marin County, CA. The perfect home base, Fairfax, CA is where I get out daily on the miles and miles of open space and find inspiration and plot my next journey out of Marin into the world. The Marin Nomad site was born in 2014 out of a desire to share some of what I experience here in Marin and during my travels. The world has been through a lot since then, especially recently and there a need more than ever to be out in the natural world.
